iFORCECOM is the website of the United States Coast Guard Force Readiness Command, which is part of the Modernization Effort.

The Force Readiness Command (FORCECOM) is the Coast Guard's first command solely responsible for preparing forces to perform missions and execute them properly.

FORCECOM is charged with the current and future readiness of the Coast Guard's workforce -- Active Duty, Reserve, Auxiliary, Civilian and Contractor -- to ensure they will be ready when called to execute their missions.

ATC Mobile Helps Make A Wish Come True

ATC Mobile worked with the Make a Wish Foundation as Jaeda Sichel, 18, of Aspen Colo., trained to be an honorary Coast Guard rescue swimmer near Mobile, July 7, 2009.


The Make A Wish Foundation coordinated the day-long visit for Sichel, who is diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. Sichel completed training in a helicopter flight simulator, pool training with Coast Guard aviation survival technicians and participated in a real rescue swimmer training mission with an HH-60 Jayhawk rescue helicopter crew.
